Delaware Cities

Delaware cities do not run their own civil court. The county courthouse does. Wilmington, Newark, Middletown, Delaware City, and New Castle all file civil cases at the Leonard L. Williams Justice Center in Wilmington. Dover and Harrington cases go through the Kent County Courthouse. Milford, Seaford, and Lewes cases go through the Sussex County Courthouse in Georgetown. Some cities have a local Justice of the Peace Court for small claims. Newark has an Alderman's Court for city ordinance cases.
